About Us

My name is Andrew, and I’ve lived in Lake Ann for about a decade. I’ve got a little over 13 years of experience in skilled labor, with nearly 10 of those years spent working for the same company. I built my career with my hands—on job sites, in all kinds of weather—learning to be efficient, respectful, and dependable. After a couple of serious injuries made full-time trade work difficult, I shifted my focus and started something of my own: straightforward, no-nonsense lawn and beach care for people in my own community.

Straight Forward Lawn and Beach Care is a family-run operation. My wife and I live here in Lake Ann with our six dogs—most of them adopted from across the country—including two with special needs. We also help care for a small herd of family horses, and my sisters and I work together to support our mom, who’s living with Alzheimer’s.

As a family, we’ve come to value time, patience, and purpose. That shows in the way we run this business. We don’t upsell. We don’t cut corners. We just do good, honest work and stand behind it.

We handle everything from routine mowing and trimming to shoreline cleanup, seasonal yard work, power washing, and getting properties rental-ready. And once in a while—when we see someone truly struggling—we quietly donate our time to help. We don’t advertise it, and we don’t take requests for it, but if we’re in a position to help someone who really needs it (often an elderly neighbor), we do. It’s part of being part of a community—not part of the business plan.
